Our cumulative experience and backgrounds are quite diverse, having represented
major industrial, pro, and consumer electronics lines, as well as premier hi-end audio, video, and custom electronics manufacturers.
This experience has provided us with much of the insight and expertise necessary to achieve our goals, as well as those of our clients in this demanding market.
Our customers know that we will go the extra mile for them and we try to share our enthusiasm for our work with our customers and our principals.
We maintain a balance of efficient professionalism while building personal relationships.

Our History 

Robert Entrop Sr., our father, founded the company on April 1, 1952, along with his partner, Ray Johnston, as the Ray Johnston Company. After Ray left the company in 1976, the name was officially changed to Northmar, Inc., and in January 1991, Bob Jr., Rick, and Russ Entrop purchased the corporation.

Our Products

Our product mix is electromechanical components and professional audio products.
Our Industrial manufacturers offer a wide range of products geared toward transportation, computer peripheral, medical, industrial, and alternative energy.
Our audio products market focus is broadcast, studio, touring and live sound, commercial installations, custom home applications and installations, retail audio, and custom audio/video installations.
To enhance our visibility in the marketplace and maintain our technical expertise, Northmar currently belongs to the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA), as well as other professional trade associations.

Our Sales Team

The sales responsibilities of each sales agent are divided by product line and accounts.
This division is mostly geographical: one salesperson may have specific responsibilities for an account, but all significant account activity is shared company-wide.
We currently belong to the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA), as well as the Independent Professional Representatives Association (IPRO) and the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).
We also attend all of the major trade shows associated with our territory.

The sales territory covered includes the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. The primary markets are Western Washington, Oregon, and Montana with secondary coverage in Spokane, WA. Boise, ID. Tri-Cities, WA. and Anchorage, AK.
