Aveo Systems Press Release June 8, 2020
Users of Mira Connect AV control devices who prefer not to touch a shared touchscreen can now operate their AV systems with personal devices; no special software or app download is required.
Aveo Systems (Marietta, GA) has introduced Mira Connect Me, patent-pending technology for all Mira Connect systems which allows users to quickly and securely control their audio-visual systems from their personal smartphones, tablets, and computers. Users who want the flexibility of using their own devices or prefer not to touch a shared touchscreen can now access a room’s Mira Connect user interface quickly, securely, and safely on their own devices. All Mira Connect functions are available on the users’ own devices including one-touch audio and video dialing, launching Zoom, Cisco, and Poly video calls, selecting video sources, controlling volume, positioning cameras, and more.
Mira Connect Me operates with the Mira Connect device and is configured through Mira Portal, Aveo Systems’ cloud management platform. Once Mira Connect Me is enabled, a user scans the unique QR code shown on the room’s Mira Connect device (or enters the provided passcode on a Mira Connect web page), and the Mira Connect user interface appears automatically in the browser of their personal device. There are no specialized applications required on the device, as Mira Connect Me uses the device’s browser.
“Mira Connect Me is designed to provide more flexibility for users, and to help our customers return safely to their workplaces. To support our customers through these difficult times, Mira Connect Me is available to all Mira Connect users at no charge for twelve months, through May 2021, regardless of whether they have an active Mira Portal subscription,” said Craig Richardson, Aveo Systems CEO.
Aveo Systems’ Mira Connect smart control system does not require any programming to set up and provides a consistent and intuitive user experience for all kinds of commercial audio-visual systems. An ever-growing range of manufacturers are supported including Zoom, Poly, Biamp, Shure, QSC, Symetrix, ClearOne, Cisco, Hall Research, Panasonic, Extron, Sharp, LG, Samsung, Bose, FSR, NEC, Sony, and many more. Microsoft Office 365 calendar integration is supported for one-touch dialing of scheduled meetings, and user contact directories are also supported. Mira Connect is available in tabletop, on-wall, and in-wall form factors.
