SDP/SI Moving to New State-of-the-Art Facility Later this Year

Brand New Engineering and Manufacturing Facility Will Lead to Greater Customer Benefits

designatronics_new_facility_2016SSDP/SI – Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument, a leader in providing mechatronic based design, engineering and manufacturing services for critical motion control applications will be moving to a brand new world-class engineering and manufacturing facility later this year.

Construction is underway in the new state-of-the-art facility designed to improve processes, efficiencies, and lead times for the production of precision gears, machined parts and sub-assemblies. “While working from 3 separate locations has been productive for us,” explained Robert Kufner, President and CEO, “the consolidation of the entire organization into one facility will greatly streamline and improve work flow, resulting in greater benefits for our customers.” The new facility will easily meet current capacity requirements, and give the company ample room for growth. The new 96,000 square foot facility is located in Hicksville, NY, a short 10 miles east from the current place of business. Designatronics, Inc. and the other brands QTC Metric Gears and Quality Bearings & Components will be sharing this new location with SDP/SI.

“In preparation for the move we are advising our customers to review their component needs for the year and to adjust delivery dates if possible,” says Joe Yanosik, North &Latin Americas Sales Manager. “Through careful planning and monitoring we hope to minimize any disruption our customers may experience.” The move will occur in stages and SDP/SI will be operational December 1, 2016.
